This one was a team effort. We partnered with our friends at Champion Plumbing on a water heater replacement at a home in Apple Valley - and when the plumbing side is done that clean, you want to make sure the electrical matches it.
Our guys Sean and Thomas handled the electrical scope. That meant pulling a dedicated 240V circuit for the new Bradford White electric water heater, making clean connections at the unit, and getting the breaker labeled properly in the panel. No shortcuts. Every step done the way it's supposed to be done.
Here's the thing about electric water heaters - they need their own dedicated circuit. You can't share a 240V load like that with anything else in the house. Get it wrong and you're tripping breakers, stressing the panel, or worse. So we ran it right from the start, with a properly sized 30-amp double-pole breaker and clear labeling so there's zero guesswork down the road.
Panel labeling might not sound glamorous, but it matters more than most homeowners realize. When a breaker trips at midnight or a future electrician needs to isolate a circuit fast, a clearly mapped panel saves time and prevents mistakes. We treat it as part of the job - not an afterthought.
We love jobs like this. Two trades, one goal - get the homeowner set up the right way. Champion handled the plumbing side to a high standard, and we made sure the electrical was every bit as solid. That's the kind of partnership that just works.
