We had a great time teaming up with O'Boys on this one. They handled the HVAC and plumbing side of things - getting a brand new mini split installed to heat and cool the home - and we took care of all the electrical. That's the kind of trade partnership that just makes a job go smoothly.

Mini splits need a dedicated circuit run from the panel out to the outdoor unit. It's not complicated work, but it has to be done right. The disconnect box mounted on the exterior, the conduit routing, the connections at the unit - all of that matters for both safety and long-term reliability. Sloppy electrical work on HVAC equipment is one of the more common things we see when we're called in to troubleshoot problems down the road.

We also did panel labeling on this job. It sounds simple, but a properly labeled panel is genuinely useful - for the homeowner, for any future contractor, and for us if we ever need to come back out. Every circuit identified and mapped out so there's no guessing which breaker controls what. The City of Minnetonka sign-off is on the panel door, which means everything was inspected and approved.

If you're getting a mini split installed, loop in your electrician early. It saves time and avoids the back-and-forth of trying to coordinate after the HVAC equipment is already sitting on the pad. And if you're in the Minnetonka area and need HVAC or plumbing work, O'Boys is worth a call - good crew to work alongside.
