Most people know radon is a problem in Minnesota - but what a lot of homeowners don't realize is that a radon mitigation fan needs its own dedicated circuit to run properly and safely. Without it, you're either sharing power with other loads or the system just doesn't get installed at all. That's exactly what we took care of here in Otsego.

Koby ran a dedicated circuit for the radon fan, mounted a weatherproof exterior outlet box right at the fan location, and tied it all back into the panel cleanly. The outdoor setup is built for the elements - proper conduit routing, a GFCI-protected outlet, and a labeled breaker so there's no guessing later. Everything done the right way from start to finish.

Speaking of the panel - this is an older ITE EQ Load Center, and we were able to find space for the new radon fan circuit breaker without any issues. You can see the orange label we put on the new breaker so it's immediately identifiable. It's a small thing, but that kind of organized panel labeling matters when someone needs to shut off a circuit in a hurry.

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the US, and it's especially common in Minnesota homes. If a mitigation company has already installed the pipe and fan but left the electrical piece unfinished, that's where we come in. We handle the wiring side so the system can actually do its job.

Whether you're working with a radon contractor who needs an electrician on the job, or you bought a home where the mitigation system was never properly wired up, we can get it sorted. This kind of work falls squarely in our wheelhouse - dedicated circuits, panel work, exterior wiring, and making sure everything is safe and code-compliant.
